Since the day it was launched the Universal serial bus has seen many transitions. Now the USB device comes in different sizes and for various types. Here are different types of USB –

USB Type-A

Type-A USB devices are connector cables that you plug into a computer USB port to transfer data, use an external keyboard for typing or utilize a mouse for a computer.

 

USB Type B

The type B USB connectors are square in shape. These are used to plug printer cable or any other external hard drive cable into to the computer.

 

USB Type C

The Type C USB cable is reversible which means it can be easily plugged in upside down. These USB Type C also offers data transfers of higher speeds and more powerfully. These USBs have now become the standard for new laptops, phones and tablets.

 

Mini USB

These USB connectors are smaller in size than the regular USB ports so these are used for smaller devices. Mini USB is standard for mobile, cameras and MP3 players.

 

Micro USB

Micro USB devices are like standard connector devices for mobile and other gadgets except for Apple devices. These Micro USB cables allow information to be read without any help from a computer. It means that it one device can be connected directly to the phone just with this USB cable.

 

USB 3
